Our customer, a provider of secure storage containers for customers to rent around Staffordshire had recently procured a new site which required extensive planning to ensure maximum utilisation of space. Our representative liaised with the site manager to ensure that the units provided would ensure the highest possible yield from their self storage customers.
Grafo-Therm for Self Storage Sites
A new 20ft container was modified to create two 10ft containers, this was achieved by installing a steel partition down the inside of the container. The 20ft container then had shipping container doors installed into the double door panel so that the container could still be butted up to other containers but fully accessed by customers. The doors all had high security lockboxes fitted with steel shrouds to maximise customer security. Grafo-Therm was applied to the roof of each of the container to protect the client from any potential claims relating to condensation.
Client Pleased – Ordered More Storage Containers
The client was so pleased with the extra space created by this modification that they purchased four of the units. The client quickly found demand from customers for smaller storage units, therefore, we again utilised a 20ft container and modified it to create four 8ft x 5ft self-contained storage spaces. Steel partitions were located at 5ft intervals and single leaf shipping container doors were utilised in the side of the container for easy and secure access. The client also purchased in excess of fifty standard 20ft containers.
Grafo-Therm Applied to All Storage Containers
All of the containers provided were of the same manufacture and colour to ensure consistency throughout the site. All containers had Grafo-Therm coating applied by 3J Services to inhibit condensation. All containers were successfully delivered, off-loaded and sited and all site activity was overseen by 3J Services staff.
