The Football Foundation is currently offering grants of up to £25,000 for the purchase of new or fully refurbished storage container(s) with a minimum 12-month warranty. You don’t have to be a football club to apply, however, grassroots football must be an integral part of your organisation. The Foundation doesn’t currently have a preferred container suppliers list and we would love to help. We can assist with pre-application costing exercises and advice so, please get in touch with us and take advantage of our expert knowledge.
Who Are The Football Foundation?
The Football Foundation is a charity helping communities improve their local footbal facilities via the provision of football grants. It is a partnership made up of The Premier League, The FA, The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, and Sport England. They work together to transform lives and strengthen communities through the power of football.
Why Storage Containers?
Storage containers offer a variety of benefits for football clubs and organisations, especially when it comes to space management, and equipment security.
Cost Effective: Storage containers are generally much cheaper than constructing permanent buildings or additional storage rooms. They are built from durable materials and require minimal maintenance, therefore can last for many years.
Space Optimisation: Ideal for storing large amounts of equipment such as balls, goalposts, training gear, and kit. You can even fit them out with shelving, racks, and hooks in order to maximise storage capacity and make it easier to access items.
Secure: Secure locks can provide a high level of protection against theft, and as they’re designed to be waterproof and weatherproof, valuable equipment will be kept safe from the weather. We can also apply Grafo-Therm anti-condensation spray, or line the container out.
Versatile Use: Aside from storing equipment, containers can be modified to serve other purposes like office space, changing rooms, or meeting rooms.
Quick Deployment: Unlike traditional buildings, which may take months to construct, containers can be delivered and set up in a matter of days.
Eco-Friendly: Many storage containers are made from recycled steel, and when they are no longer needed, they can be reused or repurposed, reducing your oganisation’s environmental footprint. Containers can also be fitted with solar panels, ventilation systems, or insulation to enhance energy efficiency, making them a greener option for storage.
