Following our recent update on the developing Iran–Israel–US conflict and its potential impact on UK container supply, we wanted to provide a brief update on the current situation.
Global shipping lines have now withdrawn services from key routes in the region, with many vessels being rerouted around the Cape of Good Hope. This diversion is adding approximately 10–15 days to standard Asia–Europe transit times, placing additional strain on already stretched supply chains.
Despite these ongoing challenges, 3J Services Ltd has worked hard to minimise the impact on our customers. We have absorbed a significant portion of rising operational costs, including fuel surcharges of up to 15%, in order to maintain pricing stability for as long as possible.
However, due to sustained pressure across the shipping industry, price adjustments will come into effect from 1 April.
We are pleased to confirm that we continue to hold strong nationwide stock levels and remain well-positioned to support our customers throughout this period of disruption. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your requirements, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team.
