A regular customer of ours, who is working on one of the UK’s largest construction projects, required a container suitable for storing drums of hydraulic oils. Gordon managed this project and liaised with our client regularly to find out exactly what was needed. It was advised that the unit required for the safe storage of oils or other chemicals is a container with a bespoke bunded floor. Due to the size and method of handling the oil barrels, a full side access shipping container would also be the best fit for the project.
Side Opening Container
The container conversion was carried out in our Liverpool depot over six weeks. We utilised a standard height, full side access shipping container. The modification included the addition of a bunded floor with a galvanised forged grating capable of holding a four-tonne load overall. A drain tap was fitted to remove any spills in the unit. Two, four tier chrome wire shelving units were fitted internally along with an enclosed 5ft LED lighting package. On completion, the unit was collected by our trusted hauliers and delivered directly to the customer’s site in Buckingham.
