New 10ft Containers FOR SALE OR HIRE
New 10ft or 3 metre containers are the smallest units we supply as standard. New 10ft containers are often not suitable for shipping (although, we can supply them as an ISO container so please do let us know if you need a 10ft shipping container!). New 10ft containers are ideal as a little extra storage to sit on your front drive, small plant rooms, storage units for schools and colleges, extra storage on your office car park and much more! We can also supply used 10ft containers.
What is a new 10ft container?
New containers will have been built (most likely in China) and filled with cargo, it has then been loaded on a shipping vessel where it has begun its journey around the world with the cargo being loaded and un-loaded as required. The container has then finished its journey in the UK where the container is emptied and enters the UK domestic market.
However, 10ft containers are not shippable and they are cut down from larger containers. New 10ft containers still exist, but they will have to be transported inside a larger container, or arrive as a 20ft or 40ft, and then cut down in depot.
Do you have plenty of space? 10ft containers often cost as much, if not a little more, than 20ft containers. Therefore, if space is not an issue, we strongly recommend purchasing a 20ft container which represents much better value for money, even the haulage price would be the same for double the unit!
10ft containers can also come as high cube containers. 10fts are built specially and have an extra 1ft in height, therefore, as oppose to the usual 8ft 6ins external height of a standard shipping container, these units are 9ft 6ins externally. We can also modifiy 10ft containers to create side loading containers and tunnel or double door containers.
