Used 10ft Containers FOR SALE OR HIRE
Used 10ft or 3 metre containers are the smallest units 3J Services Ltd supply as standard. The used 10ft containers are quite often not suitable for shipping purposes (but we can supply new ones as an ISO container – let us know if you need a new 10ft shipping container). Used 10ft containers are often cut down from larger units, repainted and then fitted with a security lockbox prior to dispatch. These 10ft containers are ideal for a little extra storage sitting on your driveway, as a small plant room, as storage units for schools and colleges, as extra storage on your office car park and many more purposes.
What is a used 10ft container?
Used containers have been owned by a number of years by a shipping line who have used the containers on a number of occasions to ship goods around the UK. A used container enters the market when the contract with the leasing company has expired. Used containers are usually at least 10-12 years old, however, their age should not influence your buying decision, the grade, or quality should. Our used containers are checked upon entering and before leaving our storage depots. They are weather proof and although they may not look too pretty, we still expect them (with the right upkeep) to last you around 10 years. We can then cut down a 10ft container from the used 20ft or 40ft container.
Do you have plenty of space? 10ft containers often cost as much, if not a little more, than 20ft containers. Therefore, if space is not an issue, we strongly recommend purchasing a 20ft container which represents much better value for money, even the haulage price would be the same for double the unit!
10ft containers can also come as high cube containers. 10fts are built specially and have an extra 1ft in height, therefore, as oppose to the usual 8ft 6ins external height of a standard shipping container, these units are 9ft 6ins externally. We can also modifiy 10ft containers to create side loading containers and tunnel or double door containers.
