REFRIGERATED SHIPPING & STORAGE CONTAINERS

Refrigerated containers are insulated containers which are designed to transport goods that need to remain at an ambient temperature. They are fitted with a refrigeration unit which is plugged into a power source on a shipping vessel (or indeed on dry land, as many people use them for domestic storage of perishable goods!). Refrigerated containers are temperature controlled and therefore used to keep stored items at an ambient temperature, be that freezing or chilled. Refrigerated containers, or ‘reefers’ as they are known in the trade, are predominantly used for the transportation of, or static storage of, food goods. However, we have seen them used for a wide variety of applications.

The standard temperature range for refrigerated containers is plus or minus 28 degrees Celsius, they are available as new (once shipped) or used units and in 20ft or 40ft lengths. We can offer testing before the refrigerated container leaves our depot and we can also provide an on site commissioning service to ensure that your refrigerated container is at temperature and ready to go when you need it.
